Ryan Burdett Maintains Points Lead

USAC SPRINTS (40 laps)
Tonight’s featured Main Event started without the #70 (Paul Marconi) who was out with engine trouble. On lap #1, JoJo Helberg wasted no time and started to pull away on the exit of turn 2. JoJo kept his car number atop the leader board for at least the first 10 laps of the main event. The #24 of Jimmy Waters worked his way up into the top 5 going late on the brakes in turn 3 while battling the #43 of Chauncey Filler. The #43 would have a solo spin out on lap 22 and then had other troubles shortly after the restart and ended up being pushed off the track. By this point, Ryan Burdett started checking out and was leaving the #4 and #24 to fight over second place.

First-ever Idaho Super Six Sprint main event at Rocky Mountain Raceways proved to be exciting along with seeing some of the old school look of Sprint car racing.

Former Focus Midget champion Bob Brewer made his first appearance on the high-bank oval for 2008. He did not complete the main event and logged 20 of the 25 laps. The #22 of Tim Savage; another former Focus Midget champion, was unable to compete in the main event and only logged one lap of his heat race. The #24 of Jimmy Waters picked up is very first Ford Focus Midget win tonight and also won his heat race.
