Madsen Marches his Modified to Win #2

MAVERIK MODIFIEDS (50 laps)
The #11 of Gary Madsen opened the season with a convincing win and he picked up win #2 of 2008 on Saturday night. Gary has four Top 5 finishes so far this year and his worst finish is eighth place. During tonight’s Main Event, Gary made his first appearance on the Top 5 leader board by lap 20. He stayed in the #5 spot until lap 30 where he moved into the Top 3. The #11 survived unscathed from a multi-car accident on lap 35. The accident took out the #84 of Mark Ith who walked off the track carrying his helmet while Jeff Midgley took care of his car. The #77 of Todd Beach was also involved in that wreck and suffered damage to the left-rear corner of his car. He went to the pits for some repairs and returned to fight again. The #41 of Michael Haddenham also left the track to deal with repairs from the same wreck. His repairs included a right-front flat tire but Haddenham returned to finish 11^th overall.
