Crate Motor Inspections

All crate motors must be reinspected and resealed by RMR tech officials prior to competing in any race for the 2008 season.

Inspection sessions will be held in the RMR convention center on selected nights. All competitors can contact Shawn Cook at hedtekrmr@comcast.net (no phone calls) to schedule their inspection. Please leave Shawn all your contact information and he will schedule a date and time for your crate motor to get inspected.

What do you need to prepare for the inspection?

• Pull off BOTH headers

• Pull your carburetor off the intake manifold

• Remove all eight spark plugs

• Your socket & ratchet to turn the crank to TDC

• Pull one valve cover and two rockers
  NOTE  Do NOT remove any valve covers until you arrive for the inspection. Shawn Cook will inform you of which side to remove!

Also, you will need to bring any gaskets and all tools needed to take parts of off your engine. RMR will not have any tools in tech.

NOTE  DON'T FORGET YOUR TOOLS!
