Spencer Young [
]
President
Spencer has been with RMR since the
grand opening in March 1997. It is because of Spencer that RMR
exists today. In a nutshell, his responsibilities
include investment and operations management. Although
he has never owned or operated venues for motor sports
before, he has sponsored many race cars. Spencer took
what was previously known as Bonneville Raceway, and
with a little magic (and a lot of money), managed to
turn it in to the state-of-the-art motor sports facility
we all know as Rocky Mountain Raceways.

Doug Binstock [
]
General Manager / Oval Manager
Doug started with the raceway in its
inaugural season as the oval track manager, overseeing
the rules and operations of the oval track. In 1998, he
was promoted into the position of general manager, where
it is his responsibility to oversee all facets of the
raceway including racing operations, entertainment,
properties and sales. He still maintains a hands
on approach with the oval track, which is a very
successful short track.

Ron Craft [
]
Drag Strip Manager
Ron Craft started drag racing in 1964,
participating in the Stock and Super Stock classes. He
moved on to manage Bonneville Raceway from 1970 to 1980,
also flagging the oval track from 1970 to 1984. After
leaving Bonneville, Ron was the foreman for Amcor Pipe.
He has managed many private clubs in the Salt Lake area
as well as managing many automotive warehouses. He then
returned to RMR as the new Head Flagman, and took over
as Drag Strip Manager on May 1, 1999.

Curt Stewart [
]
Motocross Manager
Curt has a wide range of experience in
the motorsports arena as a mechanic and as a driver. He's
raced mountain bikes, motocross bikes, sand drags, and
drag racing (right here at Rocky Mountain Raceways). Curt
managed his first company at the young age of 22 and is
married and expecting his first kid (a son that is sure to
be a racer). He loves working on hot rods and
modifying/restoring anything with an engine.

Jeff Midgley [
]
Safety and Security Director
Jeff began with RMR at its grand opening in
March of 1997. He was previously with the NHRA Safety
Safari at national and divisional events and also
trained under IRL and Indianapolis Raceway Park. In
addition to his six years of emergency room experience
as an EMT, Jeff also had experience in snow-skiing
injuries while working at a ski resort emergency clinic.
Jeff has been a West Coast SFI Training Instructor for
Safety Crew Training since the program started in March
of 2000. He is lucky in that he has been able to combine
his two loves into a career - racing and emergency
medicine. |
