1979 GMC 1/2- Ton - 1/4 Mile Drag Race Truck

This truck is 85% complete, THIS TRUCK IS  NOT STREET LEGAL!!!. We have at this point $9700 invested in it. The body is completely redone with new front fenders and doors, paint is new.  Starting at front it has tube grill, new chrome front bumper, working headlamps, lift off hood. the radiator is a new 2 core. The engine is a 350ci 4-bolt .30 over. It has flat top 10.0 to 1 pistons, alum. wedge heads ported and polished with 2.020 intake valves and 1.600 exhaust. combustion space is 89.58cc. The intake is a single plane Offenhouser, ported and polished, dual roller chain camshaft & gears. The camshaft is a comp cam high performance street, with hyd. lifters. intake lift 0.465 in and 278.0 duration. the exhaust lift is 0.441 in and 278.0 duration. The dyno test was 546 f/w horse power and 410 pft @ 6,000 rpm with a 750cfm Holley and 2-1/2in headers. The transmission is a TH350 with B&M 3500 rpm stall speed racing  torque converter, full B&M manual shift kit & B&M race clutches & steels. The trans has not had any oil in it, it is still new. Inside the cockpit the dash and doors are all sheet metal and all stock components gone, with the exception of the steering. It has full gauge pack, Mac Tools/Sun tach with shift light, has oil pressure, water temp, and volt gauges. Kirkey aluminum racing seat. The truck bed has been striped and now has a stainless sheet  floor, with a 5-gallon full cell, and a Summit kill switch mounted on rear. The differential is the stock 12 bolt, with 4:11 Precision gears and Strange spool. The tires are 24x5.00r15 on front & New BFG 33x21.5r15 drag radials. The wheels are American Racing white modulars. This truck also comes with a spare .30 over 4-bolt main short block, crank, rods & pistons. needs to be built.  As I said up at the top we have  $9700. invested in this truck,& must sell it.
